Welcome Again

Since PSU basketball is getting serious, I thought it was time I did, too. New domain = more capabilities = sicker blog. I was going to transfer all the CnC archives over here, but I decided against it. With the new season coming, might as well start fresh. Also, with a new blog template, a lot of those old entries are probably going to look ridiculous. Might as well keep the memorable 08-09 season in one place over at the free domain.

Plus, I’m a big fan of the new name, since Mr. Big Shot has obviously supplanted Joe Crispin as my all-time PSU basketball man crush. And there’s no way Steve Jones calls another TB game-winner any other way.

So I hope the 10 of you who loyally read CnC have found your way over here and are as excited about the new season as I am.

A couple of things about the site. It’s still a work in progress. My computer programming language skills are subpar at best. A friend of mine has hooked me up with this template and banner, but this is not going to be permanent. I’m also deciding what other features I want to use, like widgets and pages. One thing I’m still deciding on is what I want to do with other news articles I think are of interest to you, the reader. There are too many news outlets to somehow create a comprehensive RSS feed. But I hate writing posts that just contain links to other articles. So what I’m thinking is I’m going to create a ‘News Links’ page at the top on the Navbar, and I’ll add articles I find and post them there. Obviously, the page is going to get cluttered so what I’m thinking now is I’ll add articles and they will be there for a week until I delete them. We’ll see how it goes. But as I said, there will be more features and pages and other cool stuff coming, so that’s just a heads up for you all. Thanks for reading.
